Vintage bridal shower invitations - puts me in the mood for fresh English scones with jam and clotted cream. What is clotted cream - also known as Devonshire cream? A silky, golden-yellow cream that is made by allowing unpasteurized cow's milk to sit for 12-24 hours in a shallow pan, then slowing heating it and leaving it to cool for almost an entire day. The delicious cream that rises to the surface and "clots" is skimmed off and served with scones, berries, pancakes or desserts. Here are three charming vintage style invitations for a day of shared love and several cups of tempting hot tea.

Although some of these floral wedding cakes have beautiful fresh blooms, many have fondant or sugar paste flowers that look so real you can practically smell their sweet delicate scents. My favorites are the peonies - perfectly lovely petals in shades of pale pink, peach and dusty rose.

Starfish wedding cookies - these are exquisite! Scalloped seashells and knobby little starfish for your beach themed bridal shower or reception. I found these beautifully detailed beach wedding cookies today at Glorious Treats, as well as her favorite sugar cookie and royal icing recipes. A wonderful must-see source for cookie decorating tips. See how she easily she transforms these ordinary cookies with little more than a piping bag and a trusty toothpick and accents them with ivory-colored, edible sugar pearls.
