Breathtaking Tulip Bouquets for Spring
It may seem too early to talk about tulip wedding bouquets when the first winter cold front, like a runaway train, could be headed our way in a matter of weeks. What better time to plan a spring wedding than after the Pecan Streusel Pumpkin Pie and before the Christmas holiday rush? Tulips are a perennial flower, when planted in the fall, will return year after year. Yes...you can actually grow your own tulips for centerpieces, bridal and bridesmaid bouquets! Plant the bulbs at least eight inches deep - pointed sides up. (In southern climates, you need to chill the tulip bulbs in the refrigerator before planting for at least 12 weeks.) Avoid overwatering and you'll find yourself with an abundance of these breathtakingly beautiful spring flowers.
